WESTERN AFFORDABLE APARTMENTS

SITED ON western blvd in south los angeles, this affordable housing project provides much needed housing for those disadvantaged in our community. not only does the project provide one bedroom units, a community room, and landscaped open space, it also revitalizes an otherwise unpleasant streetscape. furthermore, architectural detailing including recessed windows, metal guardrails, fiber cement board accents, custom main entry door, and decorative fencing enhance the quality, and look and feel of the building. lastly, and to respect its neighbors at the alley, the project massing steps down in scale to fit better in the single family neighborhood context. Currently the project is completed and completely leased.

THE LOCAL STREET CONDITION HAS BEEN ENHANCED WITH STREET TREES, A VEGETATED STRIP, which serves to filter rainwater, AND A DECORATIVE METAL FENCE for security at the amenity room. THE BUILDING ENTRY IS MARKED BY A CUSTOM glass DOOR AND VERTICAL FIBER CEMENT BOARD SIDING. the lobby interior is clearly visible from the exterioR FOR ADDITIONAL SECURITY.
